One of our bigger farm welding jobs that they did for us was re-building all of our press wheels on our John Deere 1830 air seeder. The steel wheels were getting so worn on the edges that the rubber packing wheels were getting damaged. Albert figured out how to cut off the old edges, and weld on new 3/16" thick bands on each side of every wheel. Slightly thicker than original steel. They look very durable. And so far after 2 seasons, are holding up very well. We expect they will last a long time. Thanks again.
